What Marquise looks like

Marquise is the sixties one. Poiret One sets the names - a geometric face with almost no weight to it, all circles and thin strokes - and the accent is coral rather than any of the colors a wedding site usually reaches for.

There is exactly one sunburst on the page. That restraint is the design: a retro template with three of them is a theme party, and with one it is a decision.

It reverses to off-black further down, which stops the cream going flat over a long page. Good for a wedding with a bar rather than a receiving line.

The marquise cut is the one shaped like a smile - pointed at both ends, wider than it is deep. All eight templates are named after one.
